diskimage server

have the problem with both v7 and v8
when we check the backup in the morning it is stuck saying running ? and does not stop even when you stop the task and refresh
i have stop the services and wait and restart and sometimes it fixes issue, in some cases i have to restart server to stop the task from running


please can you help
