For awhile I've had one PC stuck on Windows 11 23H2 and it would keep trying to install 24H2 but failing at around 75% with error code 0xC1900101 which looks like an incompatible driver error. Then more recently I had another PC on Windows 11 24H2 fail to install 25H2 with the same error code.
For awhile I was attempting to fix things by getting rid of drivers that were incompatible with Windows Security Memory Integrity as these drivers sometimes are what cause the 0xC1900101 error but that didn't work. I also read through the verbose Windows Update logs.
Then I remembered both PCs run O&O ShutUp and I also remembered seeing some errors in the Windows Update logs related to Telemetry being disabled.
Sure enough going into O&O ShutUp and temporarily enabling Telemetry allowed the feature updates on both PCs to finally install successfully.
If the problem with the setting doesn't have a good solution then a note about it should be added to the software because Microsoft isn't supporting 23H2 starting next month and this setting effectively disables updates right now.
